Dolores Flores

Dolores Flores is an artist, poet and musician, of Mexican, American, German descent, born in Berlin and raised in Sonoma County, California (U.S.A.).
Lives and works in Berlin and Ahnsen, Lower Saxony.
1981 Founded first punk rock band and various lyrical projects.
1983 return to Berlin.
From 1983 - 1986 training / study traditional techniques of sculpture , painting, barrel painting and gilding. Member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists, Berlin / BBk since 1990. Since 1992 various music Projeke with Marius D. Kettler : ARTkustik, QchiQ, Spielothek, with concerts, performances, compositions for exhibition area and CD releases .
2003 Foundation of the artists in progress a.i.p. gallery with Marius D. Kettler.

The work of the interdisciplinary artist includes sculptural audiovisual installations, light objects, sculptures, text reliefs, video works and vocal/guitar performances. Regardless of the chosen medium, the primary component in all her works is the narrative and contemplative aspect.

Her works have been presented internationally in galleries, project spaces, festivals, museums and institutions.
